Hey, I love what you did with the tutorial you used for this, but could you give me some pointers about the layers? Or maybe send me a picture with what the layers ended up being? I've been trying for over an hour to understand the layers used in her tutorial, but to no avail - none of it seems to make sense and I'm starting to feel like an idiot.

It would help me GREATLY if you could attempt to explain what happened.

I sketched first
- created a new layer (multiply) and added flat colors .
- created a new layer (multiply) shaded roughly .
- created a new layer (overlay) added some contrastant colors .
- merge everything down ( the bottom layer from my pic )
- use brush tool to smudge colors around on that bottom layer
- I added snow as a last detail

What happened to the "Overlay" layer that she used? Did you decide not to use it?
